Dr. Jen Byalick Altman offers psychotherapy and assessment to children, adolescents, and adults.
Dr. Altman is a NY and NJ licensed psychologist with over 25 years of experience. She works with patients dealing with a variety of issues related to depression, anxiety, learning differences (both gifted and challenged), ADHD, motivation, social skills, and family conflict. Working collaboratively, Dr. Altman helps individuals develop insight, problem-solve, find their voice, and make a shift towards more successful functioning and greater satisfaction.
When you consult with Dr. Altman, you do not lay down on the couch and talk about your problems. Rather, you are entering into a partnership. Dr. Altman’s goal is to restore balance to the individual and the systems in which they live. The foundation of this process rests on mutual respect and collaboration. While therapy may be viewed with trepidation, the process does not have to be scary. Dr. Altman’s job is to listen, reinterpret, problem-solve, strategize, and ultimately guide people towards more effective functioning and greater contentment.
